Wine & Food Pairing

Wine and food pairing is a subjective thing, but in our minds, wine is food! So, rather than being intimidated, think of it like bread and food pairing, or salt and food pairing. Wine is another spice, a squeeze of lemon, or a grind of pepper, and it even washes itself down! Some wines however, are easier with food than others, and we believe we are crafting wines that naturally enhance the way food tastes, as opposed to competing with your food. Our general belief is that these types of wines are dry, lower in alcohol, higher in acid, have less obvious new oak flavor, and lots of the inherent fruitiness of the grapes they are made from. This is and always has been the food friendly style of Davis Bynum wines.
